Guys Like Curves because of Evolution
#

In a study it is found that Men like females with curvy back because of historic evolution as even prehistoric guys also liked females with a curvy backside. In theoretical terms it can be said that there is an evolutionary angle why Men today prefer women with a “theoretically optimal angle of lumbar curvature”.

A Two – Part study was carried out by the Researchers at the University of Texas at Austin. The research outcome is published in “Evolution and Human Behaviour”. In the first part of the study men were asked about their view of manipulated images of spinal curves. In response men rated 45.5 degree curve from back to buttocks as the best.

In the second part of the study, Men were asked to pick the best buttock from the pictures of Women with different buttock sizes. In response again Men preferred the buttocks whose spinal curvature was close to the ideal, which means they like the lumbar curvature, not just big buttocks. This finding was announced by the researchers in a press conference.

The lead researcher states that Men, even if obtaining information women’s spines, are directing their attention to the butt and also they are unaware about what their minds are doing.

Researchers came clean about the evolutionary angle of Men liking curvy spine and buttocks, and attributed it to prehistoric influences. The lead researcher explains “This spinal structure would have enabled pregnant women to balance their weight over the hips. These women would have been more effective at foraging during pregnancy and less likely to suffer spinal injuries. In turn, men who preferred these women would have had mates who were better able to provide for fetus and offspring, and who would have been able to carry out multiple pregnancies without injury”.

Researchers note that this preference has evolved over thousands of years.
This adds to a growing body of evidence that beauty is not entirely arbitrary, or 'in the eyes of the beholder,'" says a co-author, "but rather has a coherent adaptive logic.

In my view certainly curves does matter as far as attractiveness is concerned, but everything in excess is harmful.
